Questions & Answers
Why is this so cheap?
Because, like a lot of freelance copywriters, I often have a half-hour to spare here and there. I figure, why not fill it with a quick, fun little project? Since the time required is short, I don't need to charge a lot to do a good job. And now, you don't need to pay a lot to get one!
Are you serious about the half hour?
Pretty much. I have a degree in advertising and 25 years of real-world copywriting experience. I can usually nail what's going to excite your potential customer in a matter of minutes. Then, I can quickly and easily structure the copy so it persuades, 1, 2, 3. There's no wasted motion.
How long until I get my flyer copy?
You'll get your flyer copy as a Word document, about two business days after payment is received. If you need your flyer written faster, let me know, and I'll do my best!
Do you design flyers?
No. I'm an expert on writing flyers, but I'm not a designer.
Is there a limit on word count?
Flyer copy should be short to be effective: 50-100 well-chosen words is a reasonable range. Anything over 150 words is a brochure, not a flyer.
Why do you prefer "flyer" to "flier?"
Because flier looks like it should be pronounced "fleer," as in "pier." In print advertising (including flyers), one must write for the eye's ear. This is one of the rare times I disagree with the American Heritage Dictionary and the AP Stylebook.
Do you write brochures?
Absolutely I do. But writing a brochure is a much larger project than writing a flyer. See, a flyer exists to serve only one point in the sales process: lead generation. A brochure, however, may be a lead generator, a follow-up, and a leave-behind. It has to bridge many more points in the sales process. That makes it a more-complicated project, with copywriting fees that reflect that complexity.
You could find a low-budget copywriter to write your brochure. But that person may not bring the same level of marketing expertise to the table.

Do you write websites?
Yes! But, like a brochure, a website is a much larger writing project than a simple flyer, with copywriting fees that reflect the nature of the work.
